About Penny

Penny learned to paint in her early 40s, and has never looked back.

Drawn to Cornish coastal landscapes, Penny’s own inherent need to be near the sea and connect with Cornwall’s unspoilt, natural surroundings continues to influence her paintings. Many scenes and locations of her artwork come from her year round adventures along Cornwall’s coast, including trail runs on the south west coast path and regular sea swims.

Proudly Cornish, Penny gravitates to Cornwall’s quieter spots, hidden coves and striking countryside. She enjoys observing Cornwall’s unique coastline, the changing seasonal colours, and taking in the atmosphere on the day.

Penny now splits her time between her NHS work and her artistic commitments.

She lives on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall with her son.
